The Navy will honor former naval aviator and 41st president George H.W. Bush on Thursday with a largest-ever 21-aircraft missing man formation as part of his funeral services in Texas. Thirty F/A-18 Hornets and Super Hornets departed Naval Air Station Oceana, Va. today ahead of the Dec. 6 internment ceremony at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas. A naval aviation official told USNI News that a missing man formation of this size is unprecedented and reflects Bush’s legacy as a naval aviator and ongoing relationship with the Navy’s carrier strike group community.

Last year the body of a WWII aviator was returned to his home town of DeFuniak Springs from Germany.

The Air Force from Eglin and Hurlburt put on a remarkable funeral. They fired the salutes and just as they finished, either 5 or 6 F-35s flew over. Then one pealed away as they passed over.

This was at Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak. The military really knows how to do a funeral.

President Bush was a naval aviator. A fitting tribute.

“Sure Jimmy Carter did the later, but he ran from a rabbit too.”

It was an alien disguised as a rabbit and he fought it off.

It’s pretty amazing that the nation elected Bill Clinton over Bush. I blame Perot. In many ways, Perot was a good guy. But he really dropped the ball in 1992.

Perot, and an uncontested MSM that was in love with the Clintons and set out to paint President Bush as out-of-touch, aloof, a patrician who didn't give a damn about the American people, and, most outrageous, as a wimp. A certified war hero but he was a wimp compared to the dope-smoking draft-dodging horny hick from Hope. As for what Perot's personal animus was with George Bush, I dont know.

I was taken today by Bob Dole.

There was no love lost between Him and GHWB, both were NWO guys, but they served together, and there was Bob, 95, no legs, no arm...

And he stood up and saluted.

“Will the MSM interrupt their love-fest to carp about the “expense”?”

I doubt it. But they’ll show a picture of the dog looking up as the planes pass over.
