Because in 2004 the doodle had just started and they were sticking to holidays. Things change in 14 years, back then it was 3 or 4 doodles a month, now more days are doodles than not. Back then it was holidays and birthdays mostly leaning obscure or nerdy. Now it’s an event market. Back then it was a minor footnote, now it’s how we know a day matters. Things change in 14 years.
