Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises

Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson set straight any misinformation concerning his views on President Trump: “I don’t think he’s capable,” he said during an interview on Tuesday.

Urs Gehriger, an editor at “Die Weltwoche,” the country’s leading German-language opinion weekly, noted that Carlson’s new book, “Ship of Fools,” is silent on Trump but comments on his critics. And so, Gehriger jump-started the conversation by asking what Carlson thought of Trump’s first two years in office.

Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting. Then, when asked whether Trump has kept his promises, the usually quick-witted and long-winded Carlson had just one word: “No.”

“They want a veneer of “presidential” behavior.”

We need Trump. The job calls now for a man of rough manner and brutal confrontation.

Like Grant, Pershing, and Patton....find a brawler and let him brawl.

“....What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? 8-But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. 9-But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.” Mathew 11:7-9.

“trump tried to deal with the republicans in Congress and trusted them.”

I’m sure he expected everyone to work together. After all, these people were his BFFs when they came groveling to him for campaign contributions for the last 30 years — GOP and Rat alike. What a surprise to learn that all of them hate him; they were simply using him for money. Gotta hurt on some level.

And the Hollywood crowd ... they all wanted to party with him, and they did. Then came the big betrayal. In the end, it seems the only people he knows who he can trust are those within his family.

That’s true in one sense. In another, it’s a short lived victory if immigration isn’t brought under control.

The destructivness of the left’s ideas will keep us in the game, but all the other forces working against us between immigration, campus indoctrination, etc will make our victories short lived.

Look at France. They may well elect Le Pen after Macron and this global warming tax implosion, but she’s not exactly our idea of a conservative, except by comparison to her local competition.

Very well said. It breaks my heart to see the way he and his family are treated. This man who takes no salary for the privilege of being trashed day in day out by people who aren’t fit to tie his shoes.

He watches as his wife is snubbed, belittled or ignored and for what? All of this so some useless little twerp like Tucker Carlson can say he is “not capable?”

Tucker is great. Clearly intelligent.

Many Trump fans are as silly as Obama fans: Tucker is evil... Mark Levin... Rush Limbaugh... virtually everybody but Trump I guess. Nonsense.

Yeah, Trump has big balls and we love him for that.

Yeah, he’s done great things. Many of which NONE of the other R candidates would have done.

But, come on, of course he has NOT come through on several big promises.

The wall. It’s within his power entirely. Army engineers, whatever. Or at least a less limp attempt to force Congress to fund it. Sessions served him well in this regard, immigration / crime things in general. But Trump is not being as bold as he needs to be on the wall. My personal opinion is that he is going to sell-out to Dems on ridiculous amounts of ‘infra’ spending in order to include some wall funding.

Well, I guess sell out is a wrong description. Because Trump has been a big advocate of big spending on infrastructure from the beginning. He is absolutely NOT a small government guy. And he is not a Freedom-first guy. He loves the entitlement which are at LEAST as big a problem as immigration.

The debt. His promise there was extremely bold and virtually nobody believe he could eliminate it and he’s not even trying to do so, really.

Health care. For God’s sake, the man bashed much more Freedom-oriented people (HFC) to promote RyanTrumpCare disaster.

You can disagree with the objective / opinion-based answers regarding style and whatnot.

But Carlson is not wrong on the promises. It’s simply a fact. Buck up and handle it. It doesn’t mean we or Trump should give up trying to make headway on the so far failed promises.

If you can’t admit Trump has made mistakes - YUGE mistakes. Or can’t admit he failed on some promises. Then you have a problem.

Don’t treat Trump like a deity. It’s not good for him or you.

“some useless little twerp like Tucker Carlson can say he is ‘not capable?’”

I used to switch over to Tucker off an on — until dolts like Swalwell and the Areau chick shoe up. I think I’ll switch to “Maltshop Favorites” on our music channel.

Tucker needs to put himself in Trump’s position. His family was threatened ONCE by some Antifa types, and his life turned upside-down. Doesn’t the pipsqueak understand that Trump deals with this 24/7?

as someone else has said, Tucker is a fool.

Maybe Carlson is considering a move to CNN. In any event, if he hasn't denied it and this is accurate, he's going to regret it.☺

I have already given up on Ann Coulter for the same reasons. All the woman is capable of doing is whining about “Trump hasn’t built the wall yet.” I expect she will go back to worshipping Romney at any moment. Do any of Trump’s critics realize what this man is up against?

I will not be surprised if the President doesn’t run in 2020. Who in the world would want this job?

Seems like this thread brought out the Romney and Ryan tag team.

I want Trump to keep on bragging. He deserves every bit of the praise he gives himself because the Democrats, GOP, and Media will never congratulate.

But We the People love what he’s doing and wouldn’t trade him for a any politician you can name.

The Republicans can go back to their establishment parrots who once again won't fail to give them 100% lip service and con-jobs for the next 3 decades. That ought to be enough to completely finish off the country!

His family comes first and I can’t imagine that he isn’t furious as to how they are being treated. If that skunk Mueller tries to indict Don Jr., there will be hell to pay.

My friend, we are already finished. If there was any political party whoever worked for the people of this once great nation they stopped many decades ago.

One thing our Founders didn’t take into account was the greed inherit in politicians of all stripes.

We are nothing more than a criminal enterprise which we the taxpayer pay for. There is no integrity, patriotism or honesty anywhere in our government.

If there was there would be so many elected officials on board with the Trump agenda, but there isn’t. All we have are pretend Americans looking to block the only man in either party who cares about this once great country.

Even if Trump wins the battle the war is already lost.

What it did was to once again bring to the fore, all of the damned HOLIER THAN THOU damned CINOs, who don't know any factual history, are stupid little SNOWFAKES, and who truly do NOT belong on this site!

Back when FR was young and mostly populated by posters who actually knew and understood factual history, politics, and HOW this government is supposed to work, they wouldn't have lasted a week! Now they are not only tolerated, but never even given a time out; sadly.

How long have for REAL CONSERVATIVES yearned for a REAL leader; someone who fought back and believed in the things that this nation was founded on? DECADES and now that we have such a one, the pathetic, sniveling little phony hypocrites are all all a flutter over this remarkable man's "style". A style which not a single one of them understands and therefore don't appreciate.

I doubt they even voted for Trump, in '16 and didn't bother to turn out this year to vote in the Midterm elections, but blame HIM for that!

LOL...can you tell just how fed up I am with those jerks?
