I don’t know.

China just last month, set a new all-time record high trade surplus with America.

The biggest ever. Between any two countries. Ever.

It has been increasing, and increasing, and increasing every year for the last generation. With one exception, it did go down once. Once. But then went back up and hugely surpassed even what is was then. It is still growing, every year.

China is doing very well.

America, not so much.

The China trade surplus is not hard to understand. The US workers has more money and can buy more good. China is the manufacturer of many of those goods. The US no longer has a robust manufacturing for a lot of goods. TVs, household alliances, clothing, furniture, cell phones and other electronics, tools and other things are manufactured elsewhere, mostly China. Unless the US builds factories that manufacture the same goods, what do they think will happen? I’m sure Pelosi’s solution will be to increase environmental regulations and revote the tax cuts.

When you have a booming economy, you spend more, including on foreign goods. Want to cut our trade deficit with China? Let the Dems be in charge and they’ll take care of it by tanking the economy.
