Apollo Conspiracy? NASA Invites Skeptic Steph Curry to See Moon-Landing Evidence
Space.com ^ | Mike Wall

It's possible that Curry was joking. But, if he was being serious, NASA would like to help the two-time NBA MVP and three-time champion see the light, as The New York Times reported yesterday.

"There's lots of evidence NASA landed 12 American astronauts on the moon from 1969-1972. We'd love for Mr. Curry to tour the lunar lab at our Johnson Space Center in Houston, perhaps the next time the Warriors are in town to play the Rockets," NASA spokesman Allard Beutel told Space.com via email.

"We have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks stored there, and the Apollo mission control," Beutel added. "During his visit, he can see first-hand what we did 50 years ago, as well as what we’re doing now to go back to the moon in the coming years, but this time to stay."

Former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly also reached out to Curry, saying via Twitter today (Dec. 11), "Steph, so much respect for you, but re the moon-landing thing, let's talk. DM me."

The returned moon rocks are just the tip of the Apollo-evidence iceberg. For example, NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has photographed multiple Apollo landing sites, showing pieces of hardware and moon-rover tracks on the lunar surface.

NASA officials also note that "all the Apollo missions were independently tracked by England and Russia (our allies and enemies), both of whom sent letters of congratulations after the moon landings. In the midst of a heated space race, the Russians would have called our bluff if the landings had not actually happened."

I might come out publicly as a landing denier just to get that tour.

It was easier to send men to the moon and return them safely than it would have been to fake and not have word of the fraud get out.

In the ensuing ~50 years there would have been massive deathbed revelations from many who would have been in on it.

Great idea. In fact, I'm considering becoming a Flat Earther in the hopes I'll get that tour as well

The rationale that the moon landings were fake could be applied to anything: if someone was not an astronaut and actually experienced it, easy to imagine some scenario where it was faked.

Along the same lines, how do I know that Trump is actually POTUS? I’ve not been to the White House in many years, and when I visited the WH, I did not get to personally see who resided there at that time. Could be a conspiracy by our elections and media.

Why is NASA even talking to this idiot?
Is it part of Obama’s muslim outreach?

You can’t persuade a delusional fool with evidence. They need to ignore him.

There are also people who think that the Holocaust was faked and the Earth is flat.

If NASA could get close up pics of Jupiter and Pluto, then they could have landed on the moon and taken a pic of the Earth while they were at it.

He’ll just say it’s all fake stuff, the rocks and all. Got them somewhere in Arizona.

That’s why he plays basketball instead of working at NASA or JPL.

Remember Steph Curry is ostensibly college educated. He is indicative of his generation.

Article-Can we view the Lunar Module with a Telescope?

"Update from Ann: It's still the case that the relatively small telescopes we have on Earth, and orbiting Earth, can't see these tiny features on the Moon. But in 2009 NASA launched the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) probe to orbit the Moon, study the landscape in detail, and characterize the environment (mostly focused on checking for radiation, with which future astronauts would have to contend)."

"In addition to carrying out this scientific mission, LRO was able to take images of the Apollo landing sites (for the Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 missions) and could identify the flags and other equipment. Read more about that here or here, and check out NASA's multimedia image archive from LRO including this stunning image of the Apollo 11 site."

Good luck getting the VIP tour—unless you’re part of the Famous Class! Run-of-the-mill moon deniers and flat earthers don’t get any press or privilege.

I hope we go back to the moon. I wasn’t born when the original missions were going on and seeing the U.S. go back to the moon has always been something I’ve wanted to see.

He is indicative of his generation.

Yup. Skepticism equates to sophistication in a millennial's mind. The pinko professors have trained them to doubt everything....except the social "justice" narrative.

One of my favorite pieces of conspiracy evidence is that you can never see stars in the many lunar landscape photos.

You of course can’t see stars on earth during the daytime either.

It’s a dim bulb club to be in.

Why are pictures of the Moon, Saturn, Mars, etc covered with craters, big and small???
We don’t see them on Earth....Is it because we have an atmosphere that creates weather and continually changes the surface? Plus plant growth and shifting sands cover what was there??
