I had a blank Maxell quadrophonic 8-Track (but no player). The cart had a tab (like those on audio cassettes) to tell the player it was quadrophonic, and it had only two channels instead of four. As a result, the cart could only play half as long, so the carts were all 40-45 minutes max.
