We watch movies in our hunting camp too. Back in the 80s we had no cable there but we did have an old color tv and a vcr. Watched stupid movies like The Toxic Avenger and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Also some good movies. But the chatter and the shot or two of Jim Beam in the evenings made concentrating on films difficult at best.
Recently we have added WiFi and cable.

Sounds like a nice camp and a fun place to be!
I got a new Forest River TT back in 2016 and parked it in our hunt camp along with the rest of the old campers there. We used to have campfires and cookouts. Now we all retire to our generators and individual campers. So I watch movies in the camper on a flat screen with a DVD player.
Enjoyable. But different. Ya know? d:^)
