Germans will soon be able to choose a third gender on the register of births, with “diverse” set to become an option.
Up until now, people had to choose between “male” and “female” when giving their gender, or leave the option blank.
But following a vote in the German parliament late on Thursday, intersex people — people whose sexual anatomy does not fit the typical definitions of male and female — will be allowed to change their entry to “diverse.”
The “third gender” option places Germany in line with other countries that have introduced measures to recognize intersex people or a third gender, such as Austria, Australia, New Zealand, India, Canada and Portugal.
The Bundestag was forced to act after the country’s highest court ruled last year that people must be allowed to register as neither male nor female, ordering lawmakers to create a third gender identity or scrap the entries altogether.
That followed a case in which a plaintiff had unsuccessfully tried to change the entry on their birth register from “female” to “inter/diverse” or “diverse.” …

There are some individuals who are just outside the great imperative to become the parents of the next generation.
There is no line of purebred mules, which result from a mating of the horse stallion with a female donkey, a “jenny”. Mules are sterile, and cannot reproduce. The reverse cross, a male donkey, a “jack”, with a horse mare, makes a similar, but inferior, animal, known as a “hinny” that lacks the endurance and tenacity of a mule. They, too, are also sterile and cannot reproduce.
So the ‘diverse’ are non-reproductive members of the human race. This may be a good thing, I just do not see how.
So the German court orders a third choice? Try xx, xy, xxy.
The German word for borders in the 30s and 40s was “lebensraum.”. I don’t think they use that term currently.

I recall being in Leith and Edinburgh, Scotland, while in the Navy. I always thought if English and German were ever to be combined, the result would sound like the typical Scot.
As long as they limit it to cutting off their own dicks and not everybody else’s they can do what they want.
