If you can get past the lousy special effects (Bad even by 1970 standards!) and incredibly poorly choreographed fight scenes (So bad you have to ask, ‘ Did they even attempt to get a fight choreographer!’)

Blakes 7 had some very good episodes with good story lines. It’s a very unusual SciFi series or any type of dramatic adventure series. How often do you see a series lose it main character in the middle of the series then you don’t see him again until the last episode of the last season?

It also had some very bad episodes where you get the impression they lost every other page of the script. Plot holes you could poke planets through!

Still I think it’s a fun series from classic British SciFi days.

Agree with all of that. Loved the show, in part for its underlying complexity. Because I make music videos, I watch extensively with the sound off. What I saw was that the characters ACT 180 degrees off the way they describe themselves. Yet none of the actors realized that. When you ask about the character they played, they all regurgitate the descriptions the characters said of themselves, and never saw the depth they brought themselves. For example, the only character who reaches out physically to people in trouble is Avon. ????? The character who physically turns away is Blake.
