Can't do it. Not allowed by law. So what's to keep a local cop(rogue) from passing the info on to his/her colleagues on the Federal levels? How are the sanctuary Nazis gonna find out? Sounds to me like ALL local cops have the courage of the 30-40 'witnesses' at Benghazi.
All they have to do is make an anonymous phone call.
Is there such a thing as an anonymous phone call in this day and age of big brother?
Today in Sanctuary Calif where public safety is not priority much like in congress.

Cops quit all the time. I’m sure there are plenty with nothing to lose but happy to spi the beans. They can tell any outspoken conservative whom they’ve never met. Then it’s Sgt. Schultz time.
In law enforcement it is called “exchange of info.” If your agency prevents you from enforcing some law, you call for assistance from someone who can. LAPD was prohibited from impounding cars driven by unlicensed illegal aliens, so they would simply call for exchange of info to get an officer from another agency who could.
Buy a burner phone or get an app that generates calls from random phone numbers. Do it all anonymously.
Just my opinion, but I think if some judge finds out that an “anonymous” source is found out to be a police officer, that said judge would throw out all charges and order the illegal alien be brought back into the US because “his” rights were violated. Pretty sad times.
