He lived there for 2 gays commie years of his life, and we have to have the whole section of freeway named after him?! An Indonesian foreign student??? Who literally checked the box marked NO on his application where it asked if he was an American citizen, then Ran for president illegally twice??
And I have to drive that freeway a lot. Unfair.
He must have picked it deliberately because it mostly is above the residential and along the hillsides there.
He may have been enrolled or rrceived funding as a foreign student but there’s no evidence he ever actually attended Occidental.

Records. Pictures. Someone, anyone, who remembers seeing him in class. Or on campus for that matter.
You got the makings of a song there. If only Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young were still alive. Or at least conscious of their surroundings.

You can find pictures of him on campus online. Also testimony from people who knew him there. If you just dismiss those students and professors as his friends and the pictures as fake, then yeah, there’s nothing.

It’s a freeway ... pretty remote as the city goes. It’s real close to the “Eagle” of Eagle Rock ... a massive rock outcropping that was why Eagle Rock is called “Eagle Rock”. I lived there for a couple of years and HATED IT ... am now back closer to my usual stomping grounds having bought my new home a couple of months ago.
It also might work with Gordon Lightfoot’s “Carefree Highway.”
