Thank you for the Polar Express Movie
Ive never seen it, but after reading your post I plan to watch it soon!
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
You’re welcome.
I’ve never seen it. But I did just rewatch “It’s a Wonderful Life” and enjoyed it immensely as usual. Movies from the 40s to early 60s always remind me how much we’ve lost as a country.
Does that work?
No, I have never seen Polar Express.
Some people hate that movie.
I like it. I think people just need to lighten up on it. Different time...Different place.
I like it too. I like a lot of Christmas movies...:)
It was made in 1946 and released 7 January 1947. I imagine the country was in the mood for a movie like that given what we had just been through.
I know what you mean, Its a Wonderful Life makes me kinda sad these days. It’s almost unimaginable how much we have lost. Almost every value in this movie has been shredded by left and they move relentless on by the Rat enablers.
Simple things like everybody knew the words and tune to standard Christmas carols and could burst into song. People saying “Merry Christmas” to each other and meaning it. Kids practicing Christmas carols at the piano.
Tom Hanks did a good job as the conductor in the 2004 movie.
” I have watched it every year since about 2006. “
Me too. I bought the DVD.
A movie like that would offer escape from concerns about strikes, inflation, shortages of food, housing and fuel, Soviet high jinks abroad, and other problems plaguing us in 1946-1947.
The movie apparently takes place in 1958.
I thought it was creepy.
Still do.

The terrible world seen in the world without George Baily is pretty much what the left has given us.
As well as the recent loss of 300,000 in combat and another 100,000 to other causes. The German crisis was just heating up and for a while it looked a strong possibility that the Soviets were going to invade West Germany.
And it was a flop.
It made almost no money until it started playing on TV nearly 20 years later.
So, I guess the country really wasnt in the mood for that.
It’s a film in the “uncanny valley”, i.e. the characters look close to being human but not exactly so it creeps some people out.
