Andrew Davies has a proven track record of being excellent at what he does. His female bosses need to back off and let him do what they hired him to do.
If Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskill or the Bronte sisters created “soppy” female characters, who do these “female bosses” think they are to try to have them changed?
He does. He's also written some clunkers like the 21 century remakes of Brideshead Revisited and A Room With a View. His lady bosses ought to be telling him not to remake things if he can't improve them.
