Islam has a bad theology about God, but the title for God in Arabic is Allah. Jewish and Christian texts translated into Arabic always use Allah for God.

Arabs were calling God by the title “Allah” before the term “God” was being used in English to refer to God. Allah was almost certainly the Arabic word that native Arabic speakers heard on the birthday of the New Testament Church in Acts 2.

It’s important to find balance and not get all caught up in knee jerk reactions. Invoking “Allah” is not some incantation. The word used for God’s title is different in different languages.

The problem with Islam is not there us of the term “Allah.” It is their religion’s denial that Jesus is the Son of God.

It doesn't matter what the Arabic word for God is. The Allah of Islam is not the Allah/God of the Jews and Christians.

Any devout Muslim will tell you that.

BTW, isn't the word Allah a contraction of "al-ilah," the chief god of the Kaaba. The moon god.
