You can believe Einstein or you can believe in UFOs visiting earth. You can’t believe in both.
I smell BS. We used to play war games when I was in Corps. On one field op at Lejuene we managed to capture a Recon team member of the OpFor. They were snooping on our position. We werent too nice to him and after we were done he spent the remainder of the op in prison, (the brig). Just a small taste of what you can expect in the real world if you got captured. I dont remember him whining about it afterwards.
No matter which side of the pond one is on.
Claiming the U.S. was able to track the parachutists on radar, is where the story starts falling apart. If the Americans were tracking the parachutists as they were coming down then they were tracking their plane. The USAF would be extremely interested in who was flying it.
If the SAS "regularly tested US security", then the U.S. would have known because we are allies. There would have (should have?) been procedures in place for such tests. The Americans who caught the SAS would not have needed 18 hours to figure out who they were. Unless they were testing security without telling American military at all, which seems unlikely.
Finally, playing a practical joke like this during the Cold War would be a bit much, even for the British sense of humor. Or am I just expecting too much common sense?
The Brits still paying us back for 1776!
Why do reports of alien ships always match the current technology of earth?
A prank? A prank that is not made public for almost 40 years. A prank outside a US nuclear weapons storage facility. SAS troopers parachute into a high security facility. They are detained and beaten. In their own country. This is not just fake news, it’s fantasy, a joke. Like a Monty Python movie or something like that.
British special forces operators were parachuting covertly into a US Air Base in the dead of night because they were supposedly testing the defenses without the USA knowing it? I can easily see how some might wonder what their real purpose was there. You're damn right I'd make sure that they knew this was provocative behavior that wouldn't be tolerated readily.
I know one of the witnesses personally, very well, and there was much more that happened than this story reports.
