Tensions are always high at the highly anticipated Sugar Bowl football game and this year even the college mascots joined the fight. The University of Texas mascot Bevo XV the bull was meant to pose for pictures with opponent Uga X the bulldog from the University of Georgia on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. But the feisty 1,600-pound bull quickly got heated and charged towards the tiny bulldog on the field, throwing photographers out of the way.

Bevo was as pumped up to play in the Sugar Bowl as the rest of the Texas team and/or his handlers did not shoot up Bevo with enough sedatives.

Like the rest of UGa, UGA did want to be at the Sugar Bowl.

While Georgia lost the game, Georgia’s mascot has been named Fastest Bulldog in the world.

UGa needs to hand in his bulldog card. He should have stood up to Bevo and gave him a nice chomp instead of running away. I thought bulldogs were originally bred to nip at cattle as they were going to market to soften up the meat. :0

Longhorns are not domestic cattle. Had a friend that bought a longhorn calf and was going to train him to be ridden in rodeos. He was showing him off to one of his employees when the bull charged him while his back was turned.
A few weeks later when he got out of the hospital the longhorn was already packaged up in the freezer.

He should have have castrated the beef when a young calf and added ring the the nose.

The late Jim Prather brought his pet, 2k lb steer to one our TT rodeos and rode it around the concourse. Some of the girls in our club rode it as well.

The Texas Longhorns followed suit and flattened the Georgia Bulldogs on the football field.

I couldn’t agree more and so does my friend now. It might not have been so bad but the kid with him ran all the way back to the house and his wife had to go back and pull him out of the pen. (He was unconscious.)

How many sedatives does it take to make a bull not realize that a bulldog is a personal danger to him?

And the Georgia handlers did a completely inept job of controlling their b!tch dog.

The only thing missing from the videos was someone playing the ditty from Deliverance on a banjo.

Hook ‘em, Horns! Stop ‘em, Bevo!
