My daughter drove through the DC beltway during rush hour yesterday hoping the shutdown would make traffic bearable. It didn’t
So they shut off a webcam that costs nothing and takes no monitoring?
Like we’re supposed to care?
They never complain about all the trash after a “Women’s” or LGBT protest march. D.C. should be used to this.

This raises the question, why does the federal government run a zoo? Cities across the country do have zoos, because they are interesting for the locals. There is nothing “special” about the “National zoo”, it’s just another place to pen up a bunch of animals so that visitors can see them, so why don’t we turn the zoo over to the District of Columbia, and then maybe just give them some one each year to compensate them for the additional traffic they get because of national interest in visiting DC?
Meanwhile, why are people such pigs? Why do people think it is OK to just pile their garbage up next to full trash cans? Pick your damn trash up, put it in your own little plastic bags, and take it with you. Stop being slobs.
I understand that out west, there’s some national park where people are leaving toilet paper and crap on the street, like they need a federal worker to wipe their butts for them.
