I can just imagine what happened to the kidnapper.
It’s probably like what happened to the fool who tried to mug my daughter (4th level black belt) and her Karate Sensei.
They disarmed the mugger, beat the boogers out of him and then told him he could reclaim his gun and wallet at the local precinct.

A guy that used to work for me used to compete in Judo Tournaments, here and abroad.
He was out on a Date with his soon to be Wife and a guy started making trouble at the Bar / Restaurant they were in.
When he told the guy to chill out, the guy took a swing at him. Bad mistake.
