And let’s not leave out state, county and municipal workers either. Face it, government jobs, are at their core, about the employees and not those by whom they are employed. Their attitude is always “what’s in it for me and how much more can I get and how much less do I have to do to get it.”

Shining Example:
I went to the San Francisco office of the DMV on my lunch hour to renew my driver’s license. I took the written test then got into a line that was probably at least 50 people long. It was not yet 1:00. At 4:30 a big fat woman stood up from her desk and announced to her staff “we have to get the line moving, it’s 4:30.” They then staffed up all their available windows and cleared the place out in a half an hour. Just in time for them to all go home.
