I may have over-reacted. I posted in haste and I’m not sure you are wrong. I think that picture probably wasn’t taken by Rosenthal. I kinda fell into “that guy” mode.
Well, I knew about the two flag-raisings, but did not know the sequence of the photos, whether the “Gung-ho” picture was taken by Rosenthal or not.
I guess we both should not have “assumed”.
What is beyond a shadow of a doubt though, is that these were REAL Manly Men!
