Today’s Cryptogram

Today’s Cryptogram

UI EPJ JIV, LJ LUWW NJDJDSJN IFE EPJ

LFNVY FX FBN JIJDUJY, SBE EPJ YUWJIRJ

FX FBN XNUJIVY. DZNEUI WBEPJN TUIA KN

Since many of you are knocking down everything I'm throwing at you, getting these almost routinely under 4 minutes, I’m offering an added CHALLENGE on today’s puzzle.

See if you can solve one sentence at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, before going to the second line etc.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.

For example:

AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram)

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

Send me a private reply if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solves these puzzles.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

Let me know if you want on or off our Cryptogram Ping List, (currently at 39!)

Solution to our last puzzle:

THE ARTIST IS NOTHING WITHOUT THE GIFT, BUT THE GIFT IS NOTHING WITHOUT WORK. EMILE ZOLA

Many of you solved the quote quickly, but were stumped with the author's name, Emile Zola, French writer who championed the case of Dreyfus who was sentenced to Devil's Island wrongfully, in his famous letter to the editor, "I Accuse!"

Today’s is a fitting quotation, considering the events of the past two years.

2 min with 1 line at a time. A certain repeated word helped.

Question before I start, is each line a complete sentence, or just a part of the overall quote?

Part of the overall quote. THe ultimate puzzle solving, is when you solve each word, going left to right. Solving each sentence is pretty darn good too.

Today’s has a hint embedded that once you see it, will kick start the solution.

Ouch, this one came together quickly with the third word, but the words are instantly sobering. Makes me glad I do speak up.

Working past puzzles.

Too easy. The name was recognizable without translating.
