House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) has shown public support for President Donald Trump's proposed border wall, stating that walls do work, refuting claims from his colleagues that they do not.

This is the first time I’ve known Steny to oppose Nancy on policy. Maybe he thinks she has pushed this “No Wall Ever” business too far. Of course, he’s not from California.
You can bet that when he said a number of them agree with him but are afraid to say so, it is a fact....maybe that’s why Pelosi fled town....

Extremely misleading headline. Boyer most certainly did not back Trump on the wall. He simply conceded, when questioned, that walls work sometimes and are not immoral.

The IRREPARABLE DAMAGE to this country from no secure borders has already been done.
Saying they don't work and are immoral is the same as saying "we will never negotiate". Saying "they aren't immoral and do work" is the same, to me, as saying "yeah, okay you won on that. maybe something could be worked out, for the right concessions".
Hoyer needs to come forward and end the rest of the Dems bull shit. The Dem party will otherwise destroy itself.Not a bad thing either.

the only thing that is immoral is taking hundreds of billions of dollars from hard working Americans to pay the expenses that illegals wrack up- that is 100’s of billions of dollars every single year- Democrats don’t give a rip that hard working Americans have to foot the bill for illegals- OUR children have to go without because illegals are draining our economy- driving the cost of everything up-
LEGAL immigration will still be a reality- people can apply for citizenship anytime they like- so there is absolutely nothing immoral about a wall- nothing- not building a wall, resulting in a draining of our economy, is immoral- period!

Out of the 800,000 federal union workers unemployed because of the shutdown probably a few hundred voted for Trump.
Yes, as bad as Hoyer would be, he would be a far better speaker than Pelosi. There are probably enough
Dems alienated by Pelosi who would back him so that along with Reps he could take the Speakership. Trump should be working out a deal with him behind the scenes.
