I lived blocks away from Tonya Harding. Lets just say she had issues. I retired from the Military and it’s a pretty good bet she would have been kicked out. Just sayin....
For sure it isn’t for everybody and they don’t take just anybody, as you well know. And it’s not hard to find stories of senior NCOs and officers that have thrown away careers over unforced errors. But if she had known, tried, kept her nose clean, and made it through an enlistment with a GED and a marketable skill, her path after skating might be a lot better than the one we’re familiar with.
