I don't have cable TV (by choice) but I was able to see most of the game on YouTube. There was a guy who posted most of the game by quarter. So as the second quarter was happening, I was able to pull up most of the plays for the first quarter. Not much of a time delay either - maybe 10 minutes after the OT ended, it was posted. Just putting that out there for those who don't have cable like me.

I consider Brady/Belichick the exception to the NFL gangster anthem-disrespecting rule. So I don't mind rooting for them. There's some other up and coming stars in the NFL worth watching as well.

Well, no crying. The Giants are kryptonite to Brady and their teams proved it.

As for yesterday, it was one defensive offsides play by a Chief that cost them the game. A game-ending interception called back.

Now that guy, no. 55 is in for a very long summer.

Both teams really stepped it up in the fourth quarter. I haven’t watched any NFL but I did tune in as President Trump has gotten those owner pansies to straighten out their act.

President Trump even congratulated Brady and the Pats saying it will be a great Super Bowl.

Anyway, when the Giants beat the Pats in the Super Bowl, it was a fun time. To me, Joe Montana is mythical. Brady has played well for a long time but I’ve found it odd the designation of greatest QB of all time. I never seen him that way.

“Boston has been treated to a sports culture that is second to none.”

Ditto! We have been blessed.

The women at Gillette probably think there was too much toxic masculinity in both games yesterday.

:)

I am sick of it. Just like the D@#$ Yankees always winning, so too, the D@#$ Patriots.

At least as someone born and raised in L.A., we have the old stand-by chant that will now apply here:

Boston Sucks! Boston Sucks!

Woe all those years as a Rams fan watching our hated rivals to the north, the 49ers, with Joe Montana at the helm, winning every “World Championship Match” (so I don’t incur penalty from mentioning the official name of the game) they played. Us Rams fans got no relief from misery until Montana finally retired and the 49ers began losing.

So too, I impatiently await the day when Tom Brady and/or Bill Bellicheck retires, I so despise the Patriots always winning the big one. Lord, how long must I suffer.

And finally, yes I do hold grudges. I want the Rams to slaughter the Patriots so badly for no other reason than payback for when Adam Viniateri kicked the Rams to a loss a few years back.

If the Rams lose, I am shutting off the TV as soon as the game ends so I can erase it from memory, and then fall back to looking forward to when Trump starts putting bad actors in jail.

And his wife makes more money than he does.

I saw her net worth is $380 Million and Tom's is "ONLY" $180 M.

Does she still work as a model?

I'm even prepared to concede that he might be as good as Joe Montana.

I watched Joe play High School ball {he was from New Eagle in the Mon Valley in Western PA.

Great athlete, great QB, came out of my area and I love him, but no way Joe over Tom.

The 49er teams when Joe was QB had a ton more talent than the Pats. I am not down on Joe Montana, but stats are the proof, nine times Brady will play in the Superbowl...I rest my case.

And I still hate the the Pats.

the sports culture in New England is based on hard work, high expectations and an understanding that you are here to do a job.

And that you do not play sports according to the liberal ethos that MA and CA example.

Yes, there are the video gate and deflation scandals.

They’re also silly if you dig into them. The biggest argument for the first being significant is the outsized punishment. The latter is just playing outdoors. The footballs were deflated in both of the KC games this post-season too (as it was relatively dry, they were down by 2.8 PSI in the AFCCG) Nobody cares.

18 years is a "few years back"?

I am speaking of the 4 pro teams.

Is the Revolution a pro team?

I think you misunderstood me. I was contrasting the way sports are played with liberal ethos, such as hiring on the basis of ability, not race or other political quotas, and diligence and hard work being required for the reward, vs. the victim-entitlement mentality, and with violations and poor play actually being penalized, vs. special pleading and moving the goal posts.

On the spiritual level, only when such principals as sports requires are esteemed can mercy and grace find value, which on a societal level are applicable.

I was thinking you were talking about sports. Not political commentary.

It’s football. Why make it bigger. You watch it and enjoy it. And the Pats are fun to watch—love ‘em or hate ‘em.
