I remember back in 2015 a FReeper said that builders tend to be more Conservative.
What it tells me is professions where one has to interact with the real world to succeed (mining, construction, agriculture) only work if you know how to deal with cause and effect in a logical manner.
You screw up mining and you likely die. You screw up a news article and you get a Pulitzer.
Basically in careers and jobs that require tanglible quantifiable results, that solve real problems with solutions that have actual answers and are absolutes, the more conservative they trend.
What about Engineers?
Liberals lack the gift of hearing sight and only really utilize seeing sight. Emotion rules over logic. Professions where the rubber meets the road and are results oriented attract conservatives. Professions managed by unions, labor agreements and other artificial constructs which tax the industries attract liberals. Liberals are typically engaged in menial mental constructs that originate from human struggles both real and mostly perceived such as emphasizing racism, genderism, and other false constructs incorporated to law and they are excellent at exploiting opportunities set aside for those in need. Conservatives have less than 1/3 of the abortions. Conservatives make up over 85% of the military, yet 95% of the Department of State are Liberals. The military is results or cause and effect, but diplomacy is an endeavor of laws and constructs that seek to destroy or put a rule in place of a natural outcome. Liberals “believe” Nature is false and that they can make rules and laws to alter the Natural Order. Liberals may find themselves useless or unable to adapt in a world where cities die out and people are displaced into the countrysides as survivors - their ideas for human interaction only allows them to try to subvert other by taking from them with laws that would be unacceptable to someone or a group who is barely getting by with resources and these parasites try to join. In the Kevin Costner Movie “The Mailman” or what ever it was, only people who worked to survive survived - there were no liberals living off the backs or better than those who produced, other than the evil 8th.
Depressing to see so vividly that where people get their information is preponderantly leftist.
To coat media, entertainment and news with such a thick layer of leftism makes it nearly impossible to have any conservatives! You have to be 3x as smart and determined if you learn about and believe in conservatism. No one is going to feed it to you in your baba.
I often wonder about all the lefties surrounding me, here in LaLa Land. They consider themselves original thinkers. Yet they only spout what the propaganda surrounding them says!!! I’d be seriously ASHAMED if all my opinions were the same as on tv etc. It really shows a lack of intelligence and common sense.
IMO the divide isn’t one dimensional x - axis i.e. simply left vs right. It’s two dimensional and should have a y - axis with nationalist at the top of the y - axis and globalist at the bottom of the y - axis. That would be a better graph and be more accurate.
I guess engineering, IT and software aren’t even professions any more....
