I am appalled that Bryan Singer is still working. He should be in jail. I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody......I didnt realize that Singer was the director.

He wasnt. He was removed and replaced before the movie was completed (so, he probably had some hand in it).
The star of Apt Pupil had a short, violent, drug-fueled life. I think we could speculate about what might have happened to him on that set. Besides Singer, it starred the loathsome homosexual actor Ian McKellen.

The arrangement:
Principal photography began in London in September 2017 with Singer as director. In December 2017, Singer was fired for absence and clashing with the cast and crew, and Dexter Fletcher was hired to complete the film. Singer retained sole director credit as per Directors Guild of America guidelines, while Fletcher received an executive producer credit.
I think absence and clashing with the cast and crew is code for He had some #metoo problems, but we didnt want it to hurt the box office.
