Much of the watermelon whining related to animal husbandry would be addressed if we as a nation took a serious look at biomass digestion of agricultural waste products.

Its not just a conversation for ecowhackos either. Our nations energy production is too centralized, too monopolized, and too fragile. While biogas cant come anywhere close to supplying our present needs, it would be a small, admittedly very small, step in the right direction toward reversing these trends and making our production more secure.
