Kelley Wentworth explains why she returned for Survivor: Edge of Extinction
https://ew.com/tv/2019/02/04/survivor-kelley-wentworth-edge-of-extinction/
Kelley Wentworths Survivor career has been anything but easy. Shes pretty much had to play from the bottom in both her outings (Survivor: San Juan del Sur and Survivor: Cambodia Second Chance) always fighting against the grain and trying to crack the majority. Throw in a so-close-but-just-not-close-enough finish to Second Chance (when she was one day away from the final 3 and, potentially, one million dollars), and you could see how she might be frustrated by her time on the island.
But Kelley is back for her third shot at the money as one of four returning players competing in Survivor: Edge of Extinction (premiering Feb 20 on CBS). Why put herself through this all over again? How has she changed as a person since we last saw her play? How does she think she would have done in Second Chance had the final four fire-making twist been in place back then? And would she consider playing for a fourth time if this one doesnt work out? We travelled out to Fiji and talked to Kelly just before filming began, and heres what the fan favorite had to say about embarking on her latest adventure.

Erik, God help you.
“After a long pause, Cirie posed a question, almost offhandedly. It was perhaps the most audacious question in the history of Survivor: I wonder if he would give Nat his necklace. Probably not, huh? You think you could talk him into giving you the necklace?”
Following up on the idea, Amanda and Cirie began formulating a plan for Natalie to tell Erik that everyone was mad at him and would not vote for him to win the million-dollar prize unless he redeemed himself. And the only way to do that was to give Natalie his necklace, and if he did that, then they would vote to oust Amanda. Natalies reaction on the show upon hearing the scheme? Who would fall for that? Like, I feel stupid listening to you guys right now
AMANDA KIMMEL: Were awful people. I dont know what to say. It was awful! The stuff you have to do on the show is awful. We basically used the sweet parts of Erik and threw it back at him. Hes such a sweet guy and we just manipulated that part. The stuff youre capable of, its pretty bad.
ELIZA ORLINS: Had he just looked at us, he probably wouldnt have done it, because we were having big reactions.
With tonight’s sure-to-be-truncated #Survivor reunion show on the horizon, I will once again propose a full 3-hour finale followed by a full 1-hour reunion on http://CBS.com . Let’s stop the madness and make this happen. Who’s with me?
