Blue Oyster Cult and Gordon Lightfoot....cool!!!
I got my niece and nephew in to Sha Na Na and Manhattan Transfer.
Trespass is great too! Foxtrot is another...the album I like the least is The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway...don’t know why, it seemed to be the favorite album of Genesis fans back then.
Stones, 1972. $5.50
I probably would! I like a lot of music and while I’m not much into country or classical I still like selected pieces from both genres of music.
Don’t fear the reaper is like an OK song, but, like, I think it needs more cowbell or something.
This is a funny bit from the show “You’re the Worst”
“Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?”

Many times :)
I met a girl that sang the blues,
and I asked her for some happy news...
But she just smiled and said “Millennials like the golden oldies”...
Good man!

The next music group they’re going to sign is the staple of K-LOVE

I’m a big fan of old jazz and swing. Tunes that had outstanding melodies, a great beat and improvisations that were fantastic. Along came beebop and virtually destroyed all that. I understand that Miles Davis once asked the opinion of Les Paul why his (Miles’) music didnt’t sell very well. Les asked him to play a melody. Miles said he couldn’t/wouldn’t do it.
Any age of music has its bubble gum and pure crap “music” and the 40s were no different but the current age seems to be “non-music”, mostly whining with nothing you can whistle/no melody. There are exceptions. :D
Wow. Now I understand what “THE GOOD OLD DAYS” really means
Rolling Stones are coming to Houston in April. I really wanted to go, I’ve never seen them in concert..
Ticket price for “ok, pretty decent seats”?
$750.00 EACH
I saw BOC at "Bessie's Boathouse", Norfolk VA, in 1987. Drinking lots of beer, leaning on the stage, "singing" along with the band. Talked with them some after the concert. Ears were still ringing 24 hrs later. Good times.
Also saw Bachman Turner Overdrive at the Boathouse. They took care of business ...
Sadly, it is no more.
There, I fixed it.
I can only take Miles Davis in small doses. I prefer Thelonius Monk to Davis.
Wow, that’s amazing!
I have a friend who through a Sinatra stage, during which time I got a chance to listen to him as I never had before. His voice and the songs he did were stupendous.
I do dig Dorothy Ashby’s harp work.
Does anyone here remember Dave Brubeck?
Great jazz
Heck yeah! I have quite a few of his pieces in my playlist. Solid, solid work.
