If we go back to pre 1965 immigration that would be one thing but otherwise as we currently do immigration this would be an unmitigated disaster.

No -- I don't want American consumers to get screwed by having to pay more for their groceries or other goods and services because we're overpaying people to do menial labor jobs that can be done by foreigners on visas at a fraction of the cost.
That not only causing inflation, it's unfair to those that have gotten an education or have job skills that put themselves in a position to get a good paying job.

Your post #138:
Your reading comprehension sucks. I've made it clear that I only favor allowing high skilled immigrants into the country that can fill the country's needs and that we need to keep out immigrants that are likely to end up on welfare. Your post #140: No -- I don't want American consumers to get screwed by having to pay more for their groceries or other goods and services because we're overpaying people to do menial labor jobs that can be done by foreigners on visas at a fraction of the cost.
So, which is it? In one point, you only want the skilled. Like the H1B's who have taken over the US tech industry through being cheaper than US graduates. In the following post, you want lots of menial serfs (who would keep wages so low that US citizens would be forced onto welfare).
Meanwhile, those menials you demand will drop anchor babies who, being deemed US citizens, will immediately qualify for welfare, food stamps, and tax-paid schooling and health care.
Admit it: you're either a Democrat troll, or a globalist Establishment troll.

Not saying it's all bad, my grandson can get a condom on a banana in under five seconds...

You're pulling numbers out your ass. It's going to be a lot more than three cents.
Wages have been going up thanks to Trump's policies. So, why do you keep getting your knickers in a knot? He hasn't sold and knows what the hell he is doing when in comes to the economy.

No, I've studied it. Take iceberg lettuce. The per head picking and packing is < $.25/hd. at $12.00/hr for labor. To get Americans to pick it I would say $18.00/hr which would make the per head cost go up only a few cents ( 10 cents? ) per head.
Here is the link for the study.
SAMPLE COSTS TO PRODUCE AND HARVEST ICEBERG LETTUCE
Go to page 5 for cost breakdown.
FYI: retail cost of lettuce is $1.50.
