I think “the disease” refers to cancer, not measles, mumps, or chicken pox. Anyway, Mrs. Shine is a couple of years younger than I am, though not nearly as attractive for our age, and our generation was vaccinated for MMR and Polio, though not for chicken pox.

There are some studies that link exposure to clinical mumps (but not mumps vaccination) to decreased risk of ovarian cancer:

Dunno. Brigham and Womens Hospital doesn’t seem like quack central.
