The west was born out of Christian philosophy and the concept of self determination embodied in the cornerstone of British common law, the Magna Carta.
From that document we saw the birth of the “civilized” world.
That will not die overnight.
Then after the Magna Carta, once we earned we could own, buy and sell our property cam the birth of patent law and the necessary development of the sciences as infrastructure.
No one else on the planet did this. Not the muslims, not the Chinese, not the Indians, nor one in South America, no one in Africa.
That birthing of civilization is what gave Great Britain the leg up.
That is what is alive in President Trump and dead in the Democratic Party.
I think that is exactly what the Democratically controlled city governments are doing. Force the cities into bankruptcy and declare the government has to take complete control to “save” them.
