The sax man was Clarence Clemmons from Springsteen’s E-Street Band.
He passed away some years ago. Amazing musician, and fondly remembered.
I’m not a Springfield fan although I do like his early albums before he became “Bruce”.
In an interview, he said he always liked the raw sax sound of the Dave Clark Five and wanted THAT sax sound in his band.
