Two drugs I would try to avoid if possible, but sometimes they are necessary. Fentanyl overdoses kill many many people than heroin overdoses.

I only bring up Fentanyl, because during my experience as Caregiver, some of my clients have had cancer. Fentanyl was the only thing that made their day a smidgen more bearable.
The drug was administered by me and my assistants on a scheduled basis. We used patches, and only after we had ‘double-gloved up’ for our own protection.
Everyone signed the med book each time a patch was put in place. All disposed of properly. You don’t just throw a used Fentanyl patch in the trash.
