Jussie Smollett's "Empire" screen time is getting slashed in the wake of a growing sentiment that he staged the so-called "attack."
Production sources tell TMZ ... Jussie was supposed to have 9 scenes and a big musical number in the second to the last episode -- which is being shot now -- but, 5 of his scenes have been cut, and his musical number has been 86'd.
As for the remaining 4 scenes ... we're told he's no longer the focus. The scene features an ensemble, meaning he's flanked by a number of cast members.
With his duties pared down, Jussie will be spending way less time on set. Instead of working every day this week, we're told Jussie's working Friday and possibly Thursday, and he won't be rehearsing.

Hate crime. If guilty he should go to jail.
The Hollywood degenerates will circle the wagons around The Smollett and aid him in a new career.
Hmmm...too bad liar Jussie....you are just starting to reap the rewards of what you have sowed. Maybe your time in jail will be the source of your next starring role.

Smollett’s agent has to be furious at the guy...stupid childish behavior with the fake assault. If he had just accepted the reduced role, and moved on...he would have had another role in a year. Now? Jail-time.
In other words, now that the worm is turning, let's not be hasty.

Now, his screen time is getting less and less.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he offs himself.

I have never watched nor even heard of this show until now. The same goes for this actor.
Was this all a plan to gain ratings for a failing show?
Maybe. It’s tough to say.
There is a lot of Jewish money in Hollywood, and Hollywood is rapidly losing its influence.
The only films making money are franchise films, and people aren’t going to the movies like they used to.
It’s all so weird.
He needed to be oppressed so badly to justify his identity as a doubly oppressed person, that he manufactured his own oppression since there was none visible.
They should increase his screen time. A storyline about faking a hate crime would probably get more people to watch this B-rate show.
Remember Kerri Dunn, the Claremont McKenna College professor who faked a racism hoax back in March of 2004?
She got a year in prison, and a $20K fine, although I don’t know if she actually served the one-year sentence. The sentences were for insurance fraud, not for filing a false report; that carries a maximum sentence of 42 months in California. The jury was not asked to decide that; despite the testimony of several eyewitnesses who saw her vandalize her own car, Kerri Dunn maintained her innocence to the end.
