Wow, Wayne would cast black slaves and black soldiers with... black actors! Oh, the horrors!

Did they go to “Black Acting School”?

I remember setting in a barber shop reading that article! I still today remember some of it!

If certain people get their way, just about all movies and TV shows made years ago will be banned.

Disney prides itself on banning its own old movie “Song of the South”, because of racial stereotypes depicted.

The old Charlie Chan movies have virtually disappeared from TV.

I’m sure others can think of other examples, of movies and TV shows which couldn’t be made today. Often people cite the movie “Blazing Saddles” as one which offends the sensibilities of the leftists.

I’m reading THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH, and what the author says about the homosexual perverts in the Nazi S.A. would make a snowflake melt.

To the left, everything before 0bama created or anyone born before 0bama’s presidency is “racist”.

I would bet that the target will be John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Irvine, CA. Can’t have a public facility named after a ‘homophobe’, can we. Could rename it the Billie Jean King Airport—she was from Long Beach, but it’s close enough.

American Graffiti? For what, lack of blacks or because they played down Toad’s suppressed homosexuality? Maybe because they objectified Susanne Summers’ sexuality. Yeah you’re right. AG’s gotta go.

Because it depicts normal American life in a predominantly-white town, and does so without apology.

“The Quiet Man” was on TMC last night. I switched it on just as I was ready to go to sleep and even though it was only 1/3 of the way through, I had to finish watching it. One of my favorites. No one could do a remake and do it better.

The left will try and mold us into being PJ Boys and Girls but it won’t work... maybe in 200 years, but not now.

We’re half the way there, now. The leftists constitute half the country and they are PJ boys as we speak. And the culture shows no signs of manning up. Can we still say ‘manning’?

They made a black version of AG a year later called “Cooley High”.

Can we still say ‘manning’?

I would say that word would be regarded as just a little ovary the top.

I watch a lot of TCM. Every so often they will put on a movie in which they have a disclaimer about it. Two that come to mind are NORTHWEST PASSAGE with Spencer Tracy and UNCONQUERED with Gary Cooper, due to the representation of American Indians.

Anyone who has studied the American Indian warfare from that time will find nothing wrong with these movies.

I still remember a Tulsa OK, TV station broadcasting THE WAR WAGON back in 1976, and blocking out some of the language used by Howard Keel who played an Indian in the movie.

Later, OETA had on a program, IMAGES OF INDIANS in which showed some of the Hollywood falsehoods, but also stated some other falsehoods as fact, still believed by many today.

If liberals ever came across any comic books from the WWII years, they’d plotz. Back then comic creators loved America and hated its enemies with a passion, and put that in their stories. From what I understand, the roles are quite reversed today.

They are snapshots of the time, just like the John Wayne interview. The left can’t or won’t see through that lens.
