Starting yesterday I suddenly could not post comments at YouTube:

There used to be a little window after vids where you could write stuff.

People could thumbs-up comments they liked or thought especially relevant.

Do you guys still have that ability?

For me it has disappeared.

It happened to me once before and came back, but now it’s happening even to Joseph Paul Watson.

You know who doesn't do this..?

There a few kooks but it's no big deal.

Big cities have dirty people shouting to themselves on street corners, there's no dire emergency.

Page owners on youtube determine if they want comments

Youtube text comments are toxic. They should be banned.

Maybe leave video commenting for verified people, not bots/throw-away accounts.

They don’t want to hear from common Americans. They have no need or desire for a “town hall” comments section. Can’t have Americans talking among themselves! That may cause issues.

YouTube and Disqus eliminated the ability to see down arrows on peoples comments. They implemented this years ago, because the liberal comments were always destroyed by down arrows.

You’re lucky to find a youtube that hasn’t been pulled. Most everything I’ve tried to look at for the past 4 years or so has been yanked down.

I don’t know about YouTube, but I have noticed an inverse correlation between the how far left a news website is and the ability for people to add comments to an article.

Just last week a bunch of us protested a "guru" bashing another guys product with personal prejudice on a video. The video soon dissapeared. I was amazed that us "little peons" were allowed to stand up to this snarky condescending "industry leader" in the comments section

I expect "the Ministry of Truth" will have to put a stop to people being able to protect themselves from the dominant consumer giants

I didn’t know that youtube was doing that. It would not surprise me since a majority of the comments on many events are conservative. I do know that another twitter purge of conservatives has begun. The left must control the narrative. They are willing to go to any lengths to do that.

Keep in mind that GAB is about to launch something called “Dissenter”. This is a browser app that will let anyone type in any internet page and then be able to comment on it. The comments will be viewable by everyone. The left has gone to extreme efforts to kill Gab because it is not censored by political views.

I experienced the same problem when I was accessing YouTube on my iPad via the app.

The app was due an update, and once performed, the issue was resolved.

Google bought YouTube, and is in the process of killing it via ads and snooping.

Yet another prime example of leftists destroying everything on which they place their vile hands.

YouTube has been choking conservative content in various ways.
Demonetization is obviously one but not the only one.

The warnings that something is “controversial” poisons the well against it being viewed.

A regular tactic for them is simply falsely rating it as adult so you can’t see it unless you’re over 18 and logged in. That prevents kids on their computers, people in libraries or casual browsers from seeing it.

Next up is limiting social interaction. If people can’t like or share, that limits the reach of the video and interaction used to raise the video’s position in search results.

Limiting COMMENTING does something similar. If you can’t comment, you don’t stay those extra seconds on the page that improve engagement numbers. Nor do you interact with the content in a way that makes you more likely to share. For example, you come back to see if the content creator pinned your comment or replied to it. The page gets more views as a result, improving its SEO, and you’re more likely to share.

There’s also the negative image of content that doesn’t seem to get engagement. It is the same psychology of choosing the product with 500 reviews over the one with 5.

I’ve often noticed that even at liberal sites comments are almost always dominated by conservatives

all liberals can do is scream and use!’s and call names just like they do in person

It’s quite Hillarious where people use humor with that stuff and completely biting humor at the Liberals and all they can do is use all caps and ends

I’m sure liberals troll free republic but they wouldn’t ever post

Thank you once again Jim !

This was one of the first websites I ever saw. Engineering lab had a computer with “ internet “. This was 1994 or 5 . I clearly remRemember this is the peak of Clinton scandals number 13 and 14 or something like that and I was religiously looking at this guy
“ beach bum “ Clinton scandals webpage and then he referred me to this site. I was h2 dude then ( was and still am a hydrogen guy just put in solar panels now ) and got banned for trying to sell I guess

What Jim has done here in beyond incredible

Those of us in CA know the valley and north is like 60% conservative.

Fresno is an interesting junction. Just up in the Mountains from Fresno is the south entrance to Yosemite and also some incredible lakes and Hot Springs

I’m out in Manteca Inn Stockton a lot to you drive down the road in Manteca and there’s giant American flags every 20 feet on multiple streets

So It’s not all flaming Marxists they just scream louder and more obnoxious

Most liberals are out here actually nice and just misguided

All the leftist sites - and the NeverTrump pseudo-rightist sites - are banning comments.

There must be no dissent!
