There are a LOT of possible military uses.
You can increase situational awareness for tank (and other vehicle) drivers and commanders by putting high resolution cameras all around the vehicle, and people being able to see what's happening outside while staying under cover. You can use it for drone pilots. You can send robots into hostile environments and see what the robot sees in a more-natural interface.
