Making the distinction was a way of making a heavy situation lighter not as proposing a real new variant...but I think you know what I mean. That said, I do tend to post like I speak in real life, and that is something I might say in a given grouping and situation, not always the right one.
But I am human. Even as I get older, I still make mistakes of that kind. It isn't the end of the world, but some people respond to humor in the wrong situations, and some simply don't. I get that.
I believe male flight attendants used to be called Stewards and the females were Stewardesses", and I do prefer the older terms.
They had a character and descriptiveness to them..to me, at least.
But not everyone feels that way, apparently.
I had to go back and read that post, and I wonder if I was jumping from thread to thread...nowhere in the article does it imply these people were Leftists...don’t know how that got in...I think I conflated two threads.
Yea. There are...but I had two cats with me...and I started feeling a bit better...and...and...and.
And I didnt want to believe I almost died.
Funny how you can talk yourself out of believing the obvious.
Luckily, I didnt croak. And it was minimal damage. So Ive even gotten back my pilots certificate!
But I will know better next time!!!
You could call him a steward, also.
Thanks for the link. Read it and made notes!
Im glad you survived! Me, I seem to have a hereditary aversion to over-exerting myself, or exerting at all, so I guess that saves me to ride the Buell another day. Did have to make a slight exception for shoveling snow.
Then you have this reply :
Quit my banking job 7 years ago which gave me a chance to get an executive health check up with had a stress test. They stopped it the first minute and made me an appointment with a cardiologist for that same day. He said to be absolutely sure, let's do an angiogram. A few days later, the angiogram showed that I had 100% blockage of my left anterior descending artery and 95% of my right circumflex. I asked him: How is this possible? I don't smoke, don't drink and have no family history. I have zero symptoms: No chest pain, no shortness of breath, no nausea. I had just come from a 13 mile mountain bike ride. He just says: I don't even know why you're still alive. You need a double bypass immediately. After going through a cardiac rehabilitation program, I have been running ever since. On a good day, I can run a 5K in 30 minutes. On better days, 10 km in a little over an hour. Glad to be alive.
Yet when you spend eternity is most important. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:19) Grace and peace thru Jesus the Lord.
What is this “snow” you speak of? :)
REALLY??
She was the HUSBAND of a woman?
Just being snarky...
I think they mean: Widowermaker
Dang!
I shudda read ahead!
Then again...
I have those same symptoms!
Heh, that probably goes for me too!
Friday morning he had to have open heart surgery and I think a quadruple bypass........This was in early May and by September, he was back playing softball.....
Day after that I had a heart cath, angioplasty and a stent for the LAD 90% blocked.
Had the same blockage. Felt like someone poured hot coffee straight into the inside of my chest.
Hope all is well now my friend.
Thanks. It is.
