Its a ... crop.
Can they just not plant some more. What am I missing here.
Papermills have millions of acres of pine forests in the South. Don’t hear them complaining.
Couldn’t the Canadians forbid timber harvesting, or cut/tax exports to the USA?
They are lying. We have tree plantations of hybrid fast growing trees for paper production of all kinds.
I don’t know what they are using the Canadian timber for, but it’s unlikely to be for paper, unless it’s damaged by insects or something making it unsuitable for higher value uses.
That's what Weyerhaeuser does here in America, either the Canadians are too ignorant, or more likely the author is a moron who doesn't know shit from shinola, has a Gaia worshiper agenda or come to think of it probably both since they go hand in hand.
Yup.
I remember growing up back in either the 60's or 70's the commercials about trees.
It was *Trees. The renewable resource*
Seems that mentality has been lost.
Canadian paper mills that make newsprint are sucking pond water.
Newspaper circulations are in the tank and this has more impact on the industry...
