BALTIMORE — A Maryland woman whose death last year was blamed on an attack by a panhandler was actually killed by her husband and his adult daughter, police said Sunday.
Keith Smith, 52, had told police that his wife, Jacquelyn, an engineer from Harford County, was trying to give money to a panhandler at a traffic light when she was robbed and fatally stabbed.
Both were arrested in Harlingen, Texas, near the Mexico border. Harrison said the two were preparing to leave the country.
Hmmm. Were husband and daughter involved in a sexual relationship?

I favor banning panhandlers from busy intersections. They are largely a nuisance and are just trying to feed their drug and alcohol addictions. If you do give them anything, it should be non-monetary like coupons or food. You’ll be amazed how rude and ungrateful they become if you offer them something besides money.
Nonetheless, I’m curious what these two planned to gain by murdering the woman and fleeing to Mexico.

I try not to even look at them.
Only on rare occasions do I hand out money.
The husband appears to be physically fit, and intelligent. The daughter appears to be sickly. The dead wife appears to be physically strong, intelligent, and has bright white teeth. Was the wife going to divorce the other two?
They thought that they would “blend in” with the locals? Seriously though, the “Black Community” (an interesting euphemism since if they have a community, it is by any measure, dysfunctional) has a crime problem that rivals, if not exceeds that of the “Illegal Alien Community! I am almost never surprised when I see the perpetrators photos today, and I am at a loss as to what might be the solution. Sure as hell reparations won't fix it.
The charged female has clearly been abused. A lot. Not making excuses for her, just noting.

No one is suggesting drug usage yet, but I’d lay money down that this guy has some type of habit. It’ll be a curious court episode.

Um. They are out there. Square, Chase, Bank of America, and others provide them for free. I have used Square’s with my iPhone.
