He says his girlfriend and another couple along with other customers had been waiting for their order for 45 minutes.

There was (or maybe still is) a Burger King in Rio Rancho, New Mexico that was like this. It was located off 528 just north of Obregon/Corrales Rd. It always took forever, even when the place wasn't busy. Makes you wonder just what was going on back in the kitchen.

Another reason NOT to eat "fast" food.

I think if I had to wait more than 10 minutes to even get to the counter I would have just split. Assess my real need to refuel and if I was still hungry to the point where I could not wait to eat I would have gone to a grocery store and picked up something to put on the stove.
