Fight or Flight response was triggered on that day among many animals and a few humans as well.

I believe there was a fear that the American Falls would become the American Rapids. If I remember, the Niagara was diverted to the Canadian side and repairs made.

Fascinating video.
I can't believe the couple sitting next to the railing next to that crack.
If I saw a crack like that in the ground at the top of the falls, I'd be out of there post haste.
