Stapleton was pretty cool. Drive down I-70 and all of a sudden there’s a big ol’ airplane going across the overpass. The control tower was preserved, and now houses a fancy restaurant.
Pretty sure the Darth Vader pic and one other alarming one were removed a few yrs ago.
I saw Darth and others with my own eyes yrs ago but the last time thru Denver I didn’t see them.

One part of this silliness I can put to rest easily. The “Australia Antigen” is also known as “The Dane Particle” is just an incomplete virus that naturally occurs. It is not even infectious as it doesn’t contain the gene to program the protein that makes the virus bind to the target.

I appreciate art, but I detest that style of painting as it seems to be a cross between Soviet propaganda posters and inner city grafitti.
Never mind the “message” in that “art” is something I abhor, like the one that has the word “Peace” in a variety of languages. Who could be against peace, until you realize it is “peace” on their terms.

Rumors of corruption and Pena were previlant when DIA was being built. An attempt to look into it by a buddy of mine was told to look elsewhere which was curious inasmuch as this happened under the GOP. Pena was a hot property in the Dem Party rising to the secretary level under Clintoon.
Last seen he was with Wells Fargo as a director.
I’ve flown into and out of DIA on many occasions. Winter night times are quite a trip with the winds howling in the Rockies.

Those are not rumors, my company was involved in bidding on a large (23M USD) contract there and we got hosed. Lost the bid to a local for less than 30K.
City & County of Denver were sued by other bidders, I never learned the outcome, our co. did not participate in the suit.

Also, lots of American Indian and Hispanics in every one. Nothing wrong with that, but we’re still talking less than 15% of the entire US population. And not many black kids in said mural. The artist isn’t into diversity, just Hispano-centrism.
