I’m sorry but can’t help notice the “lord of death” has sh*t for trigger discipline.

That's because by definition none of his discharges are accidental or negligent.

I think the concept of how that “art” was commissioned and approved in a public tax paid endeavor is worthy of review.

I see that the Denver mayors who oversaw this implementation were honest to goodness Rats, so this is no surprise.

That red eyed horse always bothered me when I would go and see my father, but thankfully he lives in Texas now so no more trips to Denver.

Ooh, can we convert the underground tunnels into a giant paintball facility? Or maybe use them to house a really big trainset?

“I haven’t flown through that airport in years.”

Me neither. I lived in Denver for ten years, before legalized pot, etc. I think the artist got a jump start on that pot thing. ;)

I still love O’Hare (I’m from Chicago) and Midway. Midway has lots of historical posters; I was getting a bit late, reading the posters. :)

“Drive down I-70 and all of a sudden there’s a big ol’ airplane going across the overpass”

I grew up within a stone’s throw from O’Hare and it was amazing, driving downtown, to see these huge jets flying so close, just above your head. :)

Some things I remember about Denvers airport.

It went way over budget, like stated, so the opening was delayed.

Cracks started appearing in the runways and the construction company was called about it.
They explained that cracks were normal when the weight of the large jet aircraft continuously passed over the areas.

Then they were told the airport hadn’t opened yet and no jets were using the area.

The new automated baggage system that they copied from , a German system, I think, went into effect and kept dumping the baggage. Instead of calling “the Germans” for help they kept spending money to get it right.

Then there’s the , I guess you’d call it tenting, that went over the airport buildings to give you the impression of mountains.
It was supposed to last indefinitely but started deteriorating after a few years and had to be repaired or replaced at additional cost.

To pay for this mess, one of the charges they came up with was in parking.
As you drove to the airport and were still some distance away you were stopped and had to take a parking ticket at the automated booth then you still had to drive to the parking area.
No matter how fast you tried to get in and out you ended up paying for the first half hour.
There’s more but you get the picture...

They remind me so much of the “Man at the Crossroads” (1933) fresco by Diego Rivera, which was very anti-American and Anti-Christian.

I’m in the minority that thinks “Mustang” is a spectacular sculpture. I always thought it was the perfect symbol of a free, wild, and muscular West.

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist....as long as that is in fact what it is meant to represent.
