Looks like a nice old-fashioned, ice-cream parlor, now with Credit-card services! I wonder if they serve egg creams.

Wow, 1934 was a tough year to open a small business that didn’t deal in what might be termed essential goods and services.

A bit off topic, but I always remember the Carvel Ice Cream ads on Rochester, NY TV back in the 1970s and 80s, lol.

Too few people carry cash these days.

When you say "Ice Cream" and "New Jersey" I can only think of Carvel and Fudgie the Whale in those WOR ads which ran on my cable.

The place is like something out of the OLD Archie Comics.
Certainly NOT the new ones!

By Associated Press
07/14/2014
The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesdays installment of Life with Archie when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics first openly gay character. Andrews death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.
The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie, said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. Its what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.
Kellers character first joined Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones and Reggie Mantle in the Archie Comics spin-off Veronica in 2010. He later appeared in his own solo title.
In Life with Archie, Kevin Keller is a married military veteran and newly elected senator whos pushing for more gun control in Riverdale after his husband was involved in a shooting.

My Wife is from Teaneck.
Left there 40 years ago.
Still refers to the Great Bischoff’s.
Her whole family would pack up and go there for any special reason/.

Bischoffs is good, but Bent Spoon in Princeton has the best ice cream in the state. Magic Fountain in Summit has my favorite sundaes. Holstens used to be great, but has slipped over the past 15 years.
As for here in Hudson County?: http://www.toricoicecream.com
