Biggest Italian food disappointment of my life was on a brief visit to Capri and having Lasagna...with hard-boiled egg slices in the mix. NO.
Same trip...eating home-cooked meals with local church families...always simple pasta, meatballs, sausage...and worth every calorie. Added bonus, the group we were with was in Campagna, set-up in a 400 year old olive grove. Amazing towns and villages that we visited and ministered in.
my wife has an Italian grandmother who can cook, and every meal I’m thankful.
So glad you saw this video — I was about to ping you. Other posters have already used this word, “adorable” — can’t think of a better one.
When were you two in It’ly, ministering?
I want to go to Italy.....
“Same trip...eating home-cooked meals with local church families...”
Now I’m re-thinking a tour I turned down. My cousin has been a Baptist minister in Italy since 1973, and he’s doing a tour this fall. We decided against it, but now... Italian food is my favorite, and he said his parishoners are great cooks.
