Its a virus. If someones had the chickenpox, they could easily get shingles as well. They arent going to disqualify someone over having the chickenpox at one time.

A majority of the US population carries the non-genital herpes virus, mostly contracted in childhood. It is usually dormant but a weakened immune system can allow it to flare up.

There are nonsexual strains of herpes. If you get canker sores in your mouth every once in awhile, thats a nonsexual strain of herpes.
