It’s actually my middle name, passed down in my father’s family for years - was my father’s middle name, and his uncle’s...........
For me adding the 2nd “S” makes it feminine......while it’s very masculine when used as a middle name with a first name that starts with “R”......which while all being different, is the letter starting my name, my father’s, and my great-uncle’s..........
