Thanks, that one says 70 mile range, but I haven’t talked with anyone who’s tried one around here. But I’m about ready to take a shot since many are available for around $50, or so.

If anyone is using one at 50+ miles from the towers, let us know. Maybe I need to dive into some of the Amazon customer reviews as well.

I am not tech savvy. Can you spell out exactly how OANN works? How do you get it to your TV? (I understand about paying the $4.99 per month). But I just don’t understand how OANN gets to your TV or is it just an internet function?

Thanks in advance.

Right On ! And then we need a new party - The Freedom Party named in honor of Coolidge, Reagan, and Trump.

The demonrats and media have destroyed the republican name. We need a new brand.

——Who should be on this cable station? Judge Jenean. Hannity, Levin, Rush, Ingram, Tucker, etc.——

LOL...

You understand these folks don’t work for taco s..

A new network couldn’t afford even one of these people...

I have joined blazetv.com, mostly for Louder with Crowder. There are at least 20 hosts including Mark Levin.

The death knell will be when Fox drops Mark Levin...Murdoch’s kids are a product of our educational system controlled by lefties for the last 60 years. Those of us who believe in what our founders set up must band together to seriously fight this leftist movement to move millions of ignorant illegals into this country to to establish PERMANENT voter control of our government or we are doomed...............

“OAN (News) is on channel 347 and AWE (Weather)is on channel 387 on DirecTV.”

I’ve never seen any weather on AWE channel 347.

You ask a great question.

Anything not cable, not antenna, not dish or such, needs Internet. And not just Internet—you need a way to get the Internet to your television.

That device is an Amazon Fire, Apple TV, or Roku device. These connect by wire and/or wireless to you home’s Internet router, and plug into your television in a port meant for HD cable connectivity. If you have an HD TV, you should have a cable connection port this device can utilize.

Once in place, you change the television to use that connection (Input from connection 1, 2, or 3, etc.—just like telling your television to use the connection your DVD or cable uses). Your TV now shows the setup to the device you chose.

Using instructions from the device, you connect the device to your home Internet, then it lets you pick what online content you might like. If Roku, there’s a series of free “channels” it shows you can immediately cursor to and start watching. Likewise, if using a Roku, you can cursor to the search function and start typing “One American” and it will pop up the subscription option for OANN at $4.99 a month. You pay with the credit card you may have set up while installing the device. However, you actually do not have to give Roku a credit card to use all the free stuff. Instructions are on the Internet (it’s a setting).

My wife and I didn’t set ours up with a credit card and we watch a lot of programs for free or from our Amazon Prime, which has a ton of free movies and shows (and is 100% no added cost to use on Roku if you already have it).

You will want to check your Internet package out. We have 1,000 GB a month for $45. To get unlimited is $30 more. Your movies and shows use a bit of this limit as you watch them. However, you might use 1-2 GB an hour for most content, with the highest 4K programs coming in at 8 GB an hour. If on unlimited Internet, you never have to care.

We’ve never gone over the 1,000 GB, but for us, the expense is capped at $10 for 50 GB extra, to $100 over max for effectively unlimited data. At that rate, you’d want to curb your watching or just buy the unlimited option.

You can get Animal Planet and basically all normal cable channels this same way for a lot less and without paying for CNN and MSNBC. One such service is Philo (reviewed here: https://www.groundedreason.com/philo-tv-channels-review-and-cost/).

Roku allows the most flexibility with access to these services. There’s really no end to what you can get, and it doesn’t need a computer.

How are you streaming now? What device?

We’ve caught OANN on our computers with a membership, but don’t currently have it for our Roku.

The Marathon antenna will easily get those channels.

We get 77 from 55 miles away, and it’s inside on our second floor pointing out a window. I’ve been too lazy to mount it where it needs to be.

If I did, I’d likely get 20+ more stations here.
